Ang Thong Marine National Park

Ang Thong Marine National ParkMu Ko Ang Thong National Park consists of 42 islands. Its main islands are Phaluai Island, Wua Chio Island, Wua Talap Island, Mae Ko Island, Samsao Island, Phai Luak Island, Kha Island, Hindap Island, Phi Island, Wua Kantang Island, Mae Yat Island, Wua Te Island, Naiphut Island, Changsom Island, Hanuman Island, Thaiphlao Island, Huaklong Island, and Kho Ban Island.

Ang Thong Marine National ParkThe park covers a total area of 102 sq.km of which about only 18 sq.km is land. The National park does not encompass the entire island chain, its jurisdiction covers about 82% of the total area. The park was established on 12th November 1980.

There is more than enough to see if you decide to go and see Ang Thong and trips can be arranged through the villa Manageress. Buffalo Fights

Buffulo fights in Koh Samui ThailandIt is one of the most popular sports in Southern Thailand, with a half dozen stadiums around the island which you will recognize with their bamboo-made walls and coconut palms branches to obstruct the sight of those which did not pay for their seats.

Fight ends when one of the two buffaloes turns over, generally well before harms occur, sometimes a fight can last a few seconds.

The main purpose of this kind of event for an indigenous is not too the much show, but rather play for high stakes where very important sums are bet.

Elephants are no longer employed in Thailand for traditional logging work and so have plenty of free time to work with visitors - even on Samui, where they are not native. Despite their huge size, elephants are incredibly sure-footed, even on steep and narrow trails - and the world looks wonderful from their backs, three metres up. Standard trips last half an hour, although longer trips can be requested.

Kiteboarding

Kite Boarding Activities koh SamuiThere could not be a better place to experience one of the fastest growing extreme sports in the world, one of which is also said to be one of the easiest to learn.

A typical learner course would be 1-3 hours of introduction where you learn how to fly a small kite on a beach to learn how to control the kite within the wind window, understand wind direction and basic safety. In the next 4-6 hours you learn kite control; Weather planning and hazards, launch area selection, body draggin, solo launching, landing and emergency landing.
In the following 7-10+ you will learn; water start, kite and board control in the water, fine tuning, depower and self rescue techniques, then the sky's your limit.

Monkey Theatre

Monkey Theatre Activities Koh SamuiOn Samui, the monkey is certainly the man's best friend, because it has been utilised for centuries to go harvest coconuts on top of coconut palms, and it is necessary indeed to say that before the arrival of tourism, the coconut was the main activity and particularly an income source for the island.

The monkey theater proposes shows in which the monkeys can emphasize their dexterity and not only in the cropping of coconuts, also show with elephants. The theater is located on the left by leaving Chaweng on the way to Bophut , in a street behind, there are signposts.

Regatta

Sailing Activities koh SamuiSailing is popular in Samui being led by the success of the Ko Samui Regatta which is held in early June and the continued popularity of the day cruises and sunset cruises aboard the 52 foot sailing catamaran Kia Ora.

The major hindrance to sailing in Ko Samui is the lack of a marina to provide safe mooring, the support infrastructure and services.
There have been many rumors about marina construction being imminent but nothing has yet been done. So when you get to Samui, expect to find it hard to locate a suitable provider and also expect to either clamber over rickety wooden jetties or be ferried out on the tender dinghy.

Yoga Thailand

Yoga in ThailandYoga Thailand lies on the south coast of Koh Samui, on Laem Sor beach. Yoga Thailand is surrounded by towering coconut trees in a quiet, spacious area, with incredible sunrises and sets that plays with the colors of the water, sand and greenery.

Only a few hundred meters away is the well-known Laem Sor Pagoda, which houses the remains of Leung Poo Daeng, a realized monk. The only other structures in the area are villas privately owned. As such, our beach is private and virtually undisturbed.
