Your Accommodations: You will be staying at a variety of luxurious stationary and tented lodges in Tanzania and at a hotel and resort on the Island of Zanzibar.
Culinary Delights: You will experience a variety of exotic dishes to tempt the palate. Traditionally, the foods of the coast reflect the racial mix of African, Arabic, Asian and Swahili cooking traditions while the foods of the interior are are comprised of vegetables and cereals, combined in a number of ways, lightly spiced and served with meat and fish. Your dining experiences will range from picnics on the Serengeti, lodge dining, to dining under the stars with lanterns in the trees and a full service wait staff at your side. Lovely! All meals include an organic and delicious vegetarian option. All dietary needs can be catered for.
How to get there: Having arrived at Kilimanjaro International Airport in the evening, you will be picked up and taken back to your lodge where you will receive a welcome gift, and an evening of relaxation in preparation for your exciting safari adventure.

ABOUT THE TEACHER
NICOLEE DRAKE, RYT
Advayayoga teacher
Nicolee's experience is based upon her own journey through life and through yoga. From corporate life to her peaceful life in Encinitas, CA, she instructs private yoga classes and designs and facilitates yoga retreats in exciting international locations. Nicolee began her yoga practice in Seattle, WA in 2000 as a method of physical healing after a back injury. Her experience with yoga began as a physical activity to recover from pain. Over time it has evolved into a union of her physical, mental and emotional well-being, allowing a greater degree of freedom in her life. The result is a more joyful state of existence which has led to an amazing journey of transformation on every level.
Nicolee combines precise alignment, breath awareness and meditation into her teaching, providing a custom-fit yoga program for each group or individual. She teaches a challenging Vinyasa class designed to quiet the mind and strengthen the body through movement and breath. Her class is a powerful yet graceful flow encouraging students to explore their own internal rhythms through asana, pranayama, world music, and most importantly and open heart. Inspired by music, dance, travel, and literature, she blends the best of modern Western culture with the beauty and wisdom of Eastern culture. Nicolee embodies a spirited yet nurturing presence creating an environment where students feel safe to shine.
Nicolee holds a B.A. from Portland State University in Spanish. She also holds a 200-hour Teacher Certification from Anahata Yoga School in Encinitas, CA and is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance. In addition to the teacher training program, she has taken Advanced Adjustments, Anahata Yoga Therapy, and Yoga for Kids workshops. She is currently completing her 500-hour certification through Exhale Center for Sacred Movement with Shiva Rea.
