The honest but small population of the little rural village of La Calera are very friendly. Basically a farming community, devoted to supplying Tegucigalpa's vegetable markets, they also have extraordinary skills in leather working, ox training and carpentry.

La Calera is just 25 km from Tegucigalpa's international airport of Toncontin, where you can be picked up or hire a car for your stay.

The Rates for the Property

FROM: 50.00 USD per night, per lodging

CURRENCY: United States of America, Dollars

INCLUDES: Accommodation Only

The rental for the property is US$50 per day,  or US$300 per week. A deposit of 20% should be made when booking.

The modest rates for laundry, meals, horse back riding and other services can be negotiated locally.

With the objective of ensuring maximum benefit  for the village, all monies due, except for the initial deposit, should be paid on site.

You are encouraged to conserve water, compost waste food, recycle wherever possible, use renewable natural furnishings, source food locally, offer local employment, conserve/care for wildlife in our area.

This little property is an example of how traditonal local values and resources can be shared with the outside world benefiting everyone in the deal!
