AUSTRIA
Tribe is a collective of independent yoga practitioners who devote their life to conscious living. Teachers that you meet through Tribe share a common school of thought that yoga is a lifestyle, an attitude and an ever present guide to a richer and fuller experience of oneself and the world one lives in.
Yoga teachings are presented in a modern and accessible to all approach. The emphasis is not 'what you are doing' but 'how you are doing it'. The focus is how one can integrate the yoga teachings into daily living so life can become a more effortless and enjoyable flow.
As well as self development through powerful yoga practices and teachings students are encouraged to relax, enjoy, re-energize and have fun.
These Agama Yoga 1st Level Intensive Courses present authenthic and traditional teachings of Hatha Yoga, Kriya Yoga, and Tantra Yoga and will include elements from Raja Yoga, Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Nidra Yoga, and Bhakti Yoga.
Each course introduces a sequence of more than 20 asanas together with the physiological, psychological and spiritual effects that each asana offers. Through traditional hatha yoga practices we will explore the different levels of consciousness in asanas held for 1-15 minutes potentially activating the energy centres of the body and cultivating more balance and harmony in all levels of our being.
As well as the daily yoga practices there will also be informative lectures on yoga practice, philosophy and yogic lifestyle including diet in Yoga, healing through natural methods, purification and cleansing techniques, Ayurveda, yin/yang balancing, relaxation, physiology and psychology in Yoga, mastery and transmutation of the sexual energy, Eastern philosophy, mental concentration and the use of music in Yoga, and meditation.
The nature of these teachings empower you to create a self practice that specifically addresses aspects of your personality that you would like to amplify or change and can also help you to tackle any problems of ill health. For example, if you feel you are lacking confidence and will power, or you need to improve your memory and concentration, or you suffer from any on-going health problems the teachings will give you the knowledge and understanding of which specific asanas and disciplines can facilitate the healing and personal development that you as a unique individual need.
Personal Interviews
Every student will have a personal interview with a teacher to discuss and develop thier self practice in detail. This will help you to evaluate exactly what you want from your yoga practice and decide which particular asana and yogic techniques to focus on for specific healing & transformative effects.
Additional practices:
Outside of the yoga intensive course schedule there will also be Handstand & Arm Balance Workshops, Ashtanga Vinyasa and Acro Yoga classes free of charge.
Teachers Scarlett & Roland, the resident teachers will be joined periodically by other teachers as the weeks progress. All teachers have been trained to offer the teachings of the Agama first level intensive course.

Tribe is renowned for the relaxed, fun and easy going atmosphere cultivated by the teachers on all of our teacher training courses. We offer a comprehensive and practical approach to develop your understanding of what yoga truly is and at the same time work towards awakening your inner teacher as the main source of inspiration, guidance and wisdom for self practice and teaching others.
Traditionally our trainings have a down to earth approach bringing the ancient yoga teachings into a relevant and digestible modern presentation that students can easily understand and apply to their practice and into their daily living.
For many this is an opportunity to practice yoga with like-minded people and professional teachers in a safe and supportive environment on a journey of self discovery and spiritual development regardless of flexibility, strength or yoga experience.
Some trainees attend the training because they hold a passion to become teachers whilst others attend because they want to challenge themselves to a month of yoga study and intensive practice.
THE TEACHERS
On all trainings we have a dedicated and committed team of experienced yoga practitioners/teachers who have been studying, practicing and sharing their practice with others for many years. Tribe teachers consider themselves to be quite progressive. Our teachers have naturally studied and practiced different styles of Hatha Yoga including Ashtanga Vinyasa, Iyengar, Dynamic Yoga, Vinyasa Flow and kundalini and so what Tribe offers is a fusion of asana, pranayama and meditation styles & techniques that together create a complete journey of both movement and stillness.
Tribe teachers work towards maintaining a safe and sacred space so that all participants experience a supportive and nurturing environment whereby each individual is free to express and explore themselves without judgment or expectation.
Within our sacred space trainees learn and practice yoga techniques and disciplines of purification and transformation which can often lead to the release of deep seated physical and emotional tensions.
Tribe trainings are only suitable for people who are emotionally and physically ready
for an intensive and challenging experience of themselves.
You will find that tears & laughter, joy & sadness, fears & loves are encouraged to be freely expressed as throughout the month the group is collectively guided to let go of the usual inhibitions and judgments that often restrict our spiritual evolution.

THE YOGA Self Practice
Our focus is to guide you towards establishing a strong self practice and a more yogic lifestyle.
We facilitate a space whereby each person is invited to appreciate and nurture their own individuality and move towards developing a self practice that reflects how and what they are feeling in each and every moment so that the sequencing of ones own self practice or teaching becomes more spontaneous and explorative.
Asana
In asana the sequencing for study and practice is based on a Modified Ashtanga Primary Series and Vinyasa Flow. To honor our varying abilities and limitations there will be modifications to the traditional primary series as we will be introducing a greater variety of asanas, modifications and sequencing under an umbrella of spirtual content and guidence.
Asana classes are taught with instruction focused on leading the students into a deeper awareness, to feel and recognise what’s going on inside their bodies ....not just physically! We feel that awareness is the fertile ground for transformation and the real essence of asana practice lies in the subtleties of the body, breath and mind.
Asana practice is not just about inhale 'do this' and exhale 'do that' …this does nothing to enhance a students self development or progress. The Tribe approach which we transmit to the trainees is one of clear and effective instruction that can empower students to a more beneficial and deeper asana practice. In our opinion this often does not happen in mysore style classes and therefore we do not offer any mysore style asana sessions on these trainings!
The method of asana practice and study is inspired by the 'dynamic yoga method' as devised by Godfrey Devereux, which offers a simplistic approach to the practice and understanding of some basic fundamentals applied during yoga practice within the light of awareness.
.........those fundamentals are:
1. A soft and passive core.
2. A stable foundation.
3. The expression of the bandhas throughout the body.
4. Freedom of the breath.
Pranayama
The pranayama program includes a broad range of techniques that present a gradual yet deep exploration of the power of the breath which potentially can open the doors to the possibility of transcending any physical and emotional blocks....... accessing and connecting to the more subtle aspects of our being.
