Some of the Yoga Detox retreats are held in Monte Velho, a beautiful retreat Life in Monte Velho is kept down to earth, though it is a first class resort with a large Yoga hall, sauna, and steam room. The Monte Velho bungalows are very cozy and warm with extremely comfortable beds. It's your decision if you want to stay in a single room or share with one of the other retreat yogis. All the rooms are en suite, and they are cleaned every day by the Monte Velho staff. Both retreat centers are within walking distance to the ocean (40 minutes walking, 5 minutes by car). We do highly recommend that you stay clear of activities that interfere with the high-energy build up from your holiday programme. To get the full benefit it is best to refrain from taking alcohol, nicotine or any other drugs for the duration of your stay, especially in the yoga detox holidays.
